No More Hype! 3 Things You Can Do NOW To Start Working From Home

Today I was looking around the internet wondering what "new" things people were doing online to make an income. As I came across webpage after webpage of flashy pictures, big promises and not a lot of information I remembered the hours I spent last spring looking for a way to work from home and make money online.

Can any of you relate? Have you been there? Are you there right now? Looking at survey companies, buying into "legit" systems that promise to make you cash instantly. It all makes my head spin and turns my stomach.

Here is what I have learned about working from home. It takes a lot of work. It takes vision. It takes passion. It takes determination. You can't make a legitimate income by filling out some surveys or paying $34.95 for a system that tells you what offers you should promote.

So is all hope lost to the person who desperately wants out of their 9-5 job? Maybe your like I was, a mom wanting to help out with the family finances but not wanting to leave her kids. No, hope is not lost.

There are many ways to succeed in business online. I want to share 3 things you can do right now to get started.

First, decide what you want to do. I know that sounds vast and maybe overwhelming, but everyone has a dream in their heart. Yep, you just thought of one. Write it down. Even if it seems impossible or crazy. Let's say my dream is to be a writer and a speaker.

Second, write down a few things that would have to happen for that dream to start on the journey to reality. What needs to happen for my dream to become reality? Well, I would have to write something, I would have to get my name out there.  People would have to see me, my writing and know who I am.

Third, take the first step. Even if it isn't perfect-you have to do something. Maybe I will write an e-book, or put together a special report. Maybe I will start making videos of myself and upload them on youtube. Or I could start a blog.

You don't have to be a guru. You don't have to have a magical system. You just have to know what you want to do, be willing to work hard for it, and then have the knowledge on how to market it.

Thankfully I found a training program that will educate me on how to market my products so that I am on the journey to seeing my dreams become reality. Compared to a college degree, it costs pennies but what you learn is priceless.
