Have you seen the new Best Buy commercials? The ones that showcase their program that helps people recycle their old electronics so they can buy new ones. Clever Best Buy. The people in the commercial feel stupid because even though they just bought their T.V., computer or phone they are instantly out of date as a new one takes its place.
Do you ever feel like those people when you are online? Maybe you just understood and implemented a new technique and you go online only to find an "expert" or a "guru" telling you yet another thing you must master to achieve success.
It's like realizing my blackberry isn't as cool as the android.
So here is the question. Do you need to be an expert in order to succeed? If you don't have an android, WordPress blog or welcome page on Facebook are you doomed? No.
Now, don't get me wrong. All of those things are good and are good tools to utilize but I wonder how many people get paralyzed because they can't do it all at once. They can't instantly become an expert so they stop trying.
Don't stop trying. At the end of the day no one is going to care what kind of phone you are using as long as you use it to call them, Blogger blog is better than no blog at all and you can always add a welcome page later.
It is better to start something than do nothing.
No get out there and take the first step!
